Description Ethics Line...Hotline...Helpline. Regardless of the name used, the communication method(s) you establish for employees, vendors, and others to report ethical concerns requires careful planning, implementation, and case management. Branding matters if you want to encourage people to speak up when they have concerns. Case management (and documentation) matters if you want to be successful in gathering the information needed to successfully pursue a case. This session includes a discussion of best practices for whistleblower programs, how the regulations and societal expectations have changed these programs, what employees most want and need to build trust internally, and much more!
About the Presenter: Lauren Siegel hosts The Ethics and Compliance Library podcast on the Compliance Podcast Network in her role at Convercent. Each quarter, new episodes are released, with interviews of authors about their books on related industry topics such as values, whistleblowing, ethical blind spots, and culture. Siegel is a graduate of the University of Michigan with experience in the human resources field in multiple HR functions in various industries. She is currently in a sales role at Convercent, an ethics and compliance integrated software solution that helps organizations engage employees, mitigate risk proactively, and meet regulatory and societal expectations. The focus of her work is in a consultative role with audit, E&C, HR, and legal professionals.
