We will look at money laundering, it's history, applicable law, applications for the Bank Secrecy Act , processes and methods used to launder money, investigative techniques, available legal tools and how to present your case.
Jesse De Los Santos has been with the HHSC-OIG Internal Affairs Division since 2015. He was previously with the Texas Lottery Commission where he conducted numerous gambling and money laundering investigations. In 2005, he was with the Bexar County District Attorney's Office White Collar Crime and Corruption Division. He was also an Adjunct Professor with the Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Criminal Justice from Texas State University along with a Master Peace Officer Certification.
Attendees will be able to understand the life cycle of a money laundering investigation.
