TOPIC: The Ripple effects of fraud
speakers: Zachary kelley and Trevi Kelley
Program Description:
As fraud examiners, we often focus on a fraud perpetrator and the conditions that allowed the fraud, as well as the victim business and its owners. This session will include a discussion of all these aspects...and, more. Other important considerations should be for the people who are deeply affected by the fraud, in particular the family members who must deal with the financial effects and the ongoing emotional trauma of a loved one facing criminal charges, a trial, conviction, and prison. The acts of a fraudster have many ripple effects. [This presentation is based on a feature article in the November/December 2018 issue of Fraud Magazine, co-authored by the presenters with Cecily Raiborn.]
